New study on migration patterns of the North Pacific loggerhead turtle

Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment | A new study published in the Frontiers in Marine Science journal, led by a team from the Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment and other institutions, and headed by previous Woods research associate Dana Briscoe and Larry Crowder, focuses on the obscure migration patterns of the North Pacific loggerhead turtle. The study highlights how these turutles who usually only thrive in warm water, are able to traverse a part of the ocean that was thought to be impassable. The findings could prove to be essentiall in protecting sea turtles and other creatures, particularly in relation to climate change. Coverage about this study is below:
