Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment | A new study published in the Frontiers in Marine Science journal, led by a team from the Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment and other institutions, and headed by previous Woods research associate Dana Briscoe and Larry Crowder, focuses on the obscure migration patterns of the North Pacific loggerhead turtle. The study highlights how these turutles who usually only thrive in warm water, are able to traverse a part of the ocean that was thought to be impassable.
