Knowledge to Impact: Empowering Scientists to Catalyze Change
Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment
New kinds of challenges require new kinds of leaders. The Earth Leadership Program (ELP), an innovative effort to train environmental scientists with skills, approaches and theoretical frameworks to address urgent climate and sustainability issues, recently announced its 2021 cohort. The program, formerly known as the Leopold Leadership Program and based at the Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment, is now a partnership of Future Earth, Woods and the University of Colorado Boulder.
“Now, more than ever, working toward solutions will require deep collaboration,” said Chris Field, the Perry L. McCarty director of the Stanford Woods Institute. “The Earth Leadership Program builds leaders fluent in working with the world beyond academia."
