Interested in science communications? Work with the Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment to help raise the profile of Stanford’s environment and sustainability research, experts and events. We’re currently recruiting paid interns to work with the Institute as well as our centers and programs including the Center on Food Security and the Environment; Center for Ocean Solutions; Natural Capital Project; Water in the West and the program on Water, Health and Development.

Events | Woods Central

The Events Intern provides on-going administrative and logistical support to the events team and works under supervision of the conference services manager(s). The primary focus of this position is to help promote, plan and execute internal events, meetings, and conferences.

Multimedia Content Creator

Primary duties for the Multimedia Content Creator will concentrate on assisting with research and production of engaging and informative videos that raise the visibility of Stanford environment and sustainability research. Reporting to the Associate Editor, Environment & Sustainability, The multimedia content creator intern also may assist with development of a new Stanford podcast about the environment, with associated research, organizational and production duties.

Center on Food Security & the Environment

The FSE communications intern provides on-going support for social media outreach and website content management support, in addition to collecting and reporting on media coverage of FSE research and scholars and producing other written and multimedia content under the direction of Woods institute staff. Reporting to the Woods Communications Director, the primary focus of this position is to help raise the profile of and promote engagement with the center, its researchers and events.

The COS communications intern provides on-going support for social media outreach, newsletter production and website content management support, in addition to collecting and reporting on media coverage of COS research and scholars and producing other written and multimedia content underthedirectionoftheCOScommunicationsmanager. The Woods communications intern provides on-going support for social media outreach and website content management support, in addition to collecting and reporting on media coverage of Stanford environmental research and scholars and producing other written and multimedia content under the direction of Woods institute staff. Reporting to the Woods social media lead, the primary focus of this position is to help raise the profile of and promote engagement with the Institute, its researchers and events.
