Center for Ocean Solutions
Meg Caldwell's current research and teaching focuses on marine and coastal law and policy, land use management and decision making, the use of science in environmental and marine resource policy development and implementation, and developing private and public incentives for natural resource conservation. She directs the Environmental and Natural Resources Law and Policy Program at the law school. Meg Caldwell was chair of the California Coastal Commission and served on that body for nearly three years. She also served on the board of the California Coastal Conservancy and was appointed to the California Marine Life Protection Act Blue Ribbon Task Force for the central, north central, and south coasts. She is currently serving on the fourth phase Blue Ribbon Task Force for the north coast.
