Leonard Ortolano is a specialist in water resources and environmental planning. He is interested in the implementation of environmental policies and programs in the United States and in developing countries. Current research includes studies of: (1) policies for environmental planning and management in China; (2) delivery of water supplies to unserved communities in Latin America; (3) strategies and tactics of environmental non-governmental organizations in developing countries; and (4) diffusion of technologies for environmental protection and "cleaner production."
