We focus our research on fundamental processes related to light-matter interaction with novel applications in nanotechnology, bio-engineering, 3-D imaging, information technology and energy conversion devices. Recent work includes demonstration of a nano-optical conveyor belt, a novel 3-D X-ray imaging system of phase objects and a thermo-acoustic energy conversion device for harvesting waste energy. Previous research includes pioneering 3-D holographic and optical data storage, novel optical processors and telecom devices.
