Grace is originally from Montana, she is a member of the Crow Tribe and a descendant of the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Tribes of Fort Berthold, North Dakota. Grace received a bachelor of science in civil & environmental engineering from Stanford University. She completed her master’s degree programs at Montana Tech and Columbia University and her doctoral program in the department of biological & environmental engineering in the College of Agricultural & Life Science at Cornell. Her dissertation research was on water quality impacts from natural resource development in multi-jurisdictional watersheds in Montana, Wyoming and Crow tribal lands. Grace’s research interests include water resource management, water policy, tribal sovereignty, and watershed impacts from natural resource development. She is a recipient of the California Alliance postdoctoral fellowship. Grace is currently a member of American Indian Science & Engineering Society board of directors.
