Esha Zaveri started as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center on Food Security and the Environment in October 2016. She graduated with a PhD in Environmental Economics and Demography from Pennsylvania State University in 2016 and is a consultant to the World Bank Group’s Water Practice. Her research interests lie in understanding the evolving impacts of climate change on society, and implications for water resource management, agricultural productivity, migration, and health. Her work at Stanford examines the relationship between water resources, nutrition, and poverty in the Sahel, and the extent to which institutional factors influence the efficacy of irrigation adaptation in South Asia.
