The K-12 Project is a joint collaboration between the Woods Institute for the Environment and the Stanford University School of Education (SUSE). The project was started as a way to connect classroom teachers with environmental research at Stanford. The first two units were developed in 2006. Graduate students in the School of Education collaborated with environmental researchers to create curricula appropriate for K-12 classrooms.
